Sponsor a Child

The Emoyeni Mission is proud to be partnered with Children’s Cup in providing sponsorship opportunities for children in the communities we serve. Children from our Care Points in Emanzana / Badplaas (community 202) and Sinethemba (community 203A) have been enrolled in the Children’s Cup program, and are ready to be sponsored immediately.

We encourage you to browse through the Children’s Cup Child Sponsorship program by clicking on the link below. Please note that you will be directed away from our site. Also, please be sure to select COMMUNITY 202 or COMMUNITY 203.

‘A child comes to a CarePoint looking for food, and through the course of time, the child not only finds food and care, he also finds hope, and begins to dream of a future filled with hope. And as we invest in him the training he needs, he is even more inspired to see those dreams come true, he begins to see his world changing. He begins to be the change in his world.’    –  ChildrensCup.org

“We don’t have a cure for AIDS or a financial solution to eliminate all poverty, but what we do have is a cure for hopelessness. His name is Jesus.” – Ben Rodgers, Children’s Cup Executive Director

We closed out the week strong today. Although the rains came shortly after lunch time, we still got a lot accomplished. The Kids Camp accommodation is pretty much finished, there are still two windows and one door to install. But all the siding and roof are complete and we even started moving some of the beds (custom built by the team) into the bunk house. Our resident monkey (Nathaniel Rice) even found time to climb a tree and do some trimming for the farm. We concluded our day with a sleepover from some pretty cool kids in the community. The evening was filled with fun and games and some great discipleship time. It’s been a great week! Thank you for all of your prayers and support!

It was a full day here in South Africa! The team was part of a lot of different things today. One group went out this morning and made some home visits, praying with and for people in the community. Others went and spoke to some youth at one of the local schools. Another team went out this afternoon and played soccer with some of the local youth (for the most part, they’re all OK). And of course, construction continued here on the farm for the new kids camp accommodation. Most of the walls are complete, insulation installed, and part of the roof structure is in place. Thanks for all of your prayers and support for our team!
